I like to think of it as 3 different lives merged into one. My first life resulted in a 10+ year professional tennis career. Turning professional at the age of 15 and being ranked in the top 300 in the Women's Tennis Association and the top 50 in the International Junior Tennis Federation. Tennis provided me with both positive and challenging experiences, teaching me discipline, drive, hard work, perseverance, commitment and passion for what I do. My second life takes me to the United States, where I graduated in International Business Management and Marketing at Pepperdine University and, a couple of years later, achieved a master’s degree from Cornell University in Hotel Management. These 10 years in the United States gave me the opportunity to not only find my second passion, hospitality, but also the chance to work with top-notch hospitality masters such as the Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, Nobu Restaurants, Luxury Hotels of the World, Marriott Hotels, and Proper Hotels and Residences, where I learned the ins and outs of the masters in hospitality. I learned about the operational side of the business, the people management side, and the guest experience side. My third life takes me to the Netherlands, where I learned to take big risks and to start all over again on a different continent, in a different country, with a different language, and in a different culture. I moved to the Netherlands in February 2020, right before the hospitality industry suffered a COVID shutdown. During those quiet years, I was able to surround myself with business start-up leaders who taught me not only the daily operations of other industries but also how to develop the strategic mindset of a business professional and start-up owner. This brings me to the present moment, where I have the opportunity to follow my passion for hospitality by supporting owners and investors of small- to medium-sized hotels in developing their hotel projects.
